Nice shooting and great animal. Here in Idaho we can only shoot 2 moose in our lives as I understand it. One male and one female. So you've already harvested more moose the I ever could here in a lifetime in Idaho. I could apply to hunt out of state.... But at the prices they care for Non-resident tags, I might as well buy an entire cow. Lol

we pay 60 dollars for tags when drawn and you could get tags in some moose management areas(mma) every 2 years.in my home area for a bull or calf tag you would have to wait 4-5 years and for either sex 6-7 years depending on the draw but in an area 3 hours away i could get a bull tag every 2-3 years and either sex 3-4 years.we hunt in a party of 7 people so generally 2 moose a year will be enough for us.

it shoots well enough for me.best gun and scope purchase i ever made. definitely worth the money.my father has a either sex license this year to so we will be back at it again this weekend looking for a nice big barren cow we seen last time and he is planning on using my gun to so its getting its use.hopefully we will be lucky again.

moose-tastic! Some of the best meat I have ever had the pleasure to harvest and eat. I'm jealous you have freezer full of moose and im stuck with beef. I bet that rifle becomes a extension of your arm. There's something about a new gun, learning it, practicing and practicing and then anchoring a trophy . They tend to become comfortable like a old pair of boots.

Kudos to you and your shot,

Gene
