First Nightforce

Just ordered my first Nightforce 5.5-22x56mm NP-R1 HST and ZS. I have used Nightforce scopes with 50mm objective and am interested to see if there really is a difference. Can anyone else tell the difference between the 50mm and 56mm?

A bit more weight
A bit more light depending on one's eyes

I haven't found any of the above to be on the down side.

On a lesser rig I would choose a 50 mm though.

I have a 50 and a 56 and really can not tell a lot of difference in light gathering or Weight. I personally don't think you can go wrong with any Nightforce.

For 2 oz weight and 1/2 inch length you gain 25% brighter image at higher magnifications.
Side by side you should be able to tell the difference.

Thanks for the replys. I know it is going to be a bit more bulky but I thought I would give it a try. Most of my shots on animals are normally early morning and late evening so maybe it will help with that.
