I just got home from Utah today. I drew a mule deer tag and Antelope buck tag. On the 3rd day I shot a small 4 ptr at 88 yds with the CVA Wolf. Using 3 Pyrodex 50/50 power pellets and the Barnes 250 grain bullet, the buck walked 10 yds and went down peacefully to the double lung shot. The following day I spent an hour and a half crawling like a lizard to close the range on herd of 23 Antelope. There were some nice bucks, but one old boy really had me excited. I got from 688 yds down to 130 yds. I wanted to get a little closer but when I was ranging he caught me popping my head out from the sage to get the range shot. He stood there head on looking my direction so I decided it was now or never. I squeezed the shot and the smoke completely obscured the entire herd. I see goats running off in the sage but one big buck trailing off to the side. He walked a drunken style side to side path then fell over. I'd clipped the jugular and he bled out. Little lucky but hey I'll take it. I haven't scored the goat but I'm guessing with 7" stove pipes and 15" horns he's gonna go 78 to 80 inches.
