I was driving home, on the way back from my first successful elk hunt. Then I saw this pup crossing the road, he took his time. I thought you keep driving because I thought my gun is buried deep inside my trunk but I remembered that my 44 mag BFR is inside the cabine and it is loaded in my chest rig. I pulled over 200 yards later, grabbed my gun and hearing protection and turned around and drove little further than where coyote crossed the road. I jumped over the fence, it was all public but road is considered till the fence, and made to legal distance from the road. Started looking for the coyote and found him few mins later. I saw he is sub 100 yards, easy to aim. Ended up being 65 yards.
