First Colorado elk hunt (diy)

I have never done anything as hard as this hunt. We hunted for days my grandfather and I, and this was the only bull I we seen.
I shot him with my 8mm remington magnum at 647 yards.

I keep getting a security message when I try to post the pics, can anyone help?

Hum. My app says that bullet would have dropped about 84" at 1000 ft. elevation and about 73" at 8000 ft. elevation.

So, no matter how you did it, that's a great shot and a nice elk. Congratulations.
