My son Wyatt was able to harvest his first bird this past April. I have always enjoyed chasing these AZ birds on public land in the spring time. We were able to get on birds pretty much every morning, and put them on limbs every night. After 4 long days, this one came strutting in on a string. When he got within 100 yards he gobbled a couple more times, was in full strut, and really put on a show. The kids are hooked for life lol. Wyatt made a great 37 step shot. This was a mature Tom, 9" beard, 20# plus, and he had absolutely no spurs. They weren't worn or broken off, they were just nubs. First time I have ever seen that on a mature gobbler, must be a genetic thing. Thankful to Jesus for a great hunt with my family.
