Congratulations on your first bow kill and a great buck! Looks like he will probably go Pope and Young.

Thank you.It was a huge rush. Its going to be hard to beat this one. Dropped him off at the taxidermist this weekend. He should score around 86!

Wow, if he''s that big he's not only P&Y, but could even be B&C after the 60 day drying period. What size of bases, cutters, and length did he have since I can see they are good? Congrats again on a great animal, especially for a first one that will probably be very difficult to better in the future!

Thanks! He's 16" long, 6 3/4" bases, 6 1/4" cutters. Yea it will be hard to beat him but its OK. I'm very happy with him. Getting ready to deer hunt in a week. Summer flew by. It was 57 deg today. Fall is around the corner.

That's about what I figured to get a score like that---excellent! Just had a report form an outfitter that it was 46 in Buffalo yesterday morning, that some snow fell up in the BigHorns, and the bulls are already bugling. I'll be out the 13th of next month for 7 weeks and can't wait to hit the road! I call Wyoming my second home I'm out there so much every Fall!

Yea it was 57 in Gillette most of the day yesterday. We are headed to Dubois the 15th for elk. I killed a really good 6x6 in the Bighorns last year. Amazing country up there. We saw about 300 head of elk a couple weeks ago. Good luck on your adventure.
