Finally made it out to some distance with the XP-100 30 Nosler.
Shot out to 700 yards with the first 30 Nosler I have built by Jon Beanland. I didn't bring enough ammo for this one to get farther out but that's okay. I'll be back.
Also shot my 300 RUM Remington 700 rifle out to 1,100 yards. A Berger 215 HT moving 3144 fps was a blast out at that distance.
Wind was brutal at 24 MPH at the start with it calming down to about 12-14 mph at the end.
I also learned to watch mirage for what wind was doing farther down range, at least till the mirage went away. Seeing the mirage and what it was doing prompted me to only dial 1/2 value of the wind at times.
Overall had a blast!
