Favorite powder for 300 win?

My 300 w/mag sports a 28 inch bbl,180 Sierra spz's low 3100 easy ,H1000,....1/10 twist cheers , are you a Newbie or Seasoned reloader with yrs behind you .

I'm somewhere in the middle.
I've had a few years under me, learned a lot from members on here and a buddy down the road that used to shoot long range comp.

3 powders stand out with 180gr and heavier pills.
RE25, H1000 & RETUMBO get it done for me. In fact, my go-to load with 180gr Accubonds is 81gr of RE25 @ 3160fps in my 26" barrel.

I'm a h1000 fan but use to shoot a lot of h4350 with 180's

You should take a look at h4831sc for anything in the 180 range. Especially for a hunting load.

I shoot H-4831sc with 190 SMKs at 2950, an excellent long range (1200 mtr) load.

My powder is H1000 with 212g ELD-X. Most accurate speed is 2821f/s for my barrel.

I have two 300 WM they both like H4831. I use SC but have used regular cut with no change

H1000 has worked for me for 180s, 200s, 215s and 225s. Final best load is with 215 bergers

Looking to shoot 180 grain pills out of 28" barrel.
Was going to see what the consensus was.

The classic recipe of 75.5 grains of RL22 works for many, though Vihtavouri N165 or N565 are very good options for that bullet weight.
Personally I only shoot 220 or 230 grain bullets in this calibre, and being in Europe with its ******** rules, we can't get H1000 any more, so use mainly RL26 or Vihtavouri N565 or N570.

I shoot either H1000 or Re-loader-22 usually in 300 Win. Best being H1000 5 shots same hole at 100 yds. 210 Berger.. GAME OVER never looked back...
