My kids will tell you they were taught if it's worth doing, it's worth doing right. Maybe a little OCD
, I regularly shoot 8" kill zones out to 1600 so every little bit helps. I'm an empty nester so I have plenty of time and the kids are off the payroll so budget is available. I've learned to place the kernel loosley between index finger and thumb then roll when cutting not pushing down to hard on a 3x5 white card. Usually keeps the pieces on the paper 
You know when you cut a kernel, you increase its burn rate?
