Shot several accurate loads out of my gun today. The 150 grainers were around 2840 while the 130s were at about 2950.

This test was done at approx 4700 feet of elevation. Most of my hunting will take place in the 6000-9000 elevation. Is there a faromula I can use to figure out my muzzle velocity at those higher elevations?

Or will the muzzle velocity be the same at any elevation, the bullet will just cut through the air better/easier at higher elevations?

It's ~1.5psi difference from elevation described.
1.5/55,000(mid load pressure) = 0.003% difference in pressure.
2950fps + .003% of it = 2950.08fps

Check out any of the online ballistic calculators and you can put in your expected altitude and see what the drop will be at various distances. I use the Berger ballistic calculator. This will get you close.
