Roy took a 285 yard quartering away shot on this Eland with a 375 H&H. The 275gr Shock Hammer entered behind the last rib and was recovered opposite side between the neck and shoulder. Congratulations Roy.

I shot an Eland with 250 grain Hornady GMX at about 200 yd. Perfect mushroom performance. The first shot was fatal but I put another in as insurance.

Looks like it shed its petals as designed.

Nice looking bullet. The problem is, the expanded rounded mushroom bleeding velocity fast does less permanent wounding than a flat front running at high velocity. The broken off petals help to shred and expand the terminal path as well. Funny stuff. Seems counter-intuitive at first. Nice bull you got there, too! đź‘Ť
