Educate me on MOA drop and adjustment

I have a Weaver Tactical 4-20x50 scope with MOA adjustment. Using a ballistics calculator it shows the MOA drop at 500 yards is 3.6 and the number of clicks is 14.4.

Am I just overlooking something or can someone explain to me how to move 3.6 on the MOA. Shouldn't it be 3.0, 3.25, 3.50, 3.75, 4.0, 4.25, etc???

Your firing solution wont always be an exact division of your turrets adjustment.
Just dial the closest thing you have, in this case 3.5 moa. That will put you within 1/10th or 1/2" of where you should be.
