I saw a post on the internet where the government is replacing Birds with Drones.
Probably why you have not been seeing live birds in your area.

I had one of those gov't spys in my yard a few years ago. I thought it was odd cooling off in the water sprinkler, it's electronic must have been getting a tad warm. ;-)
