Dpms 338

Hello all,

I have recently purchased a DPMS LR338 and am wantin to find which round it likes. I have only shot a couple different factory loads so far and only down to bout 3-4 inches for 5 rounds. At this time I dont reload so I am lookin for a good factory load to get me by for now and later down the line I will be gettin set up for reloads. Any help ya'll could provide that would cut down my trial and error time would be great. Thanks

Give us a bit more information. It that an LR-338L model? Does it have the 9" or 10" twist barrel? What specific ammo have you tried?

This is the LR338L, 18" barrel, 6 groove right hand 1x10 twist. So far I have put 60 rounds of American Eagle 185 gr and 110 rounds of Fusion 200 gr.

I have the same rifle & I get around .75 groups shooting 210gr Swift Scirocco bullets loaded by Superior Ammunition & around 1-1.25 shooting 225gr Hornady SST's also from Superior Ammunition.
