Disease or predation

So I'd seen this deer about a week ago at some old deer feed and apples that I'd tossed out at the side of my house (Forgot it at my neighbour's garage while skinning this past falls WTD). It was with a doe and a yearling. I never got a good look at it and couldn't get a good photo with my phone. I could make out it looked the mangiest of the group and it looked like it had something hanging from its penis. Never really gave it much thought other then he'll likely not survive till spring.
Well was out in the garage and my wife called me all frantic…there's a deer in the yard and it looks lik it's been attacked. Immediately I thought of that deer. Here are the best photos I could get with my canon EOS 6 Some photos have been enlarged even more and screenshots created.
What y'all think. Disease or predators. Meanest animals we have are: eastern Black Bear, coy-wolves, Moose and maybe wild dogs. (but I've never encountered them in this province). Perhaps a black panther/mountain lion as I did see a flash of one some 40+ years ago…so it's possible but unlikely.
BTW seen its face and it looks nasty. Half it's lower lip was missing and or discoloured. I'm thinking it survived a coy-wolf attack.

I'd say diseased..as there doesn't seem to be much hair missing.....not drug by a car..ripped up by teeth....
Some of it looks like it could be 'warbles'..
But the piece hanging from penis is strange....maybe just inflamed tissues..
I'd get game commission to put it down and have it tested....
It won't be any good for consumption by any animal anytime in the future....

I thought about it the first time I say it. Honestly didn't think I'd see it again. I'm going to report it tomorrow.

It looks like it has some kind of wart infection. There's videos on YouTube of guys shooting "zombie" deer that look similar to that. I'm no wildlife expert though, that's for sure.

This deer certainly isn't acting like a zombie YET. This is the second time I've seen this deer. Both occasions were with other deer. I'm waiting to hear back from the Province.

It amazes me at their will to live. I agree with buck that it may be a combination of disease and predator since I'm sure the coy wolves can smell that penis a mile away!

CWD maybe? i dont know, but that thing needs to get put out of its misery. i'd contact the gaming/wildlife commission or whatever and get them to put it down and test.

Update. Same heard (assumed) came into the yard. However, that sickly one was missing. I can only assume it has succumb to it's illness/injuries. I'll have a better idea in about 7-10 days when they'll appear again. Really hope that dear died a quick death. I know that's not likely the case but I feel better thinking that.
