I live in the UK and wanted to build a 338-06 so I bought a Weatherby mk V barrel from Ebay.us advertised through a dealer who had purchased a large amount of barrels direct from Weatherby which fit a MK V action the tube arrived no problem.
I then purchased a Weatherby 6 lug 30-06 not a problem until the riflesmith came to put them together DISASTER the are a differant size thread and a differant size alltogether the barrel just drops into the action without touching the sides.
Can anyone throw any light on my problem
