Took my factory model 70 classic sporter in 300 weatherby out to some distance today. 210gr berger VLD in front of 80.5gr of h1000 and a federal 215 primer. Simmons pro 50 3-10x50 with a basic factory magnum turret. I did drop conformations with this turret out to 600 yds with some value left in the turret to get to 700 I think. Shot 3.5" at 500 and put 3 back to back shots on a milk jug at 600. With my limited trigger time in the past few years I've gotta say I'm pretty happy with those results. Can't wait to see what I can do with better glass and a custom rifle!
