Cow elk hunt with 115 year old rifle

I was able to harvest this cow elk this past weekend. I wasn't really planning on using the 1895 on my meat hunt but when I saw she was standing next to a road and easy to get to the decision was made for me haha. I had one of my 1895s chambered in 30-03 with a climbing Lyman shooting a 180gr round nose. At 203 yards she never took another step. It's a blast hunting with old winchesters

Totally awesome! I love the fact it was a lever action. My grandfather hunted for a long time with his old Winchester lever 30-30 and i watched him shoot lots of deer with it.
