Colorado Eastern Plains Mule Deer

Just got back from an awesome hunt on the Eastern Plains - our camp went 6 for 6 with some BIG deer taken!!

I was able to harvest this great buck on the first evening - was on him twice before we were able to get a shot.

Private land with an Outfitter - he leases several ranches on the Eastern Plains.

Those are some fantastic mulies. It shows that eastern CO may be as good as Mexico for the big boys if you can gain access to the ranches that hold them with almost all the land being privately owned. I guess nowadays that does mean going through an outfitter in most places.
