The way I grew up we didn't throw anything away and hardly ever sold anything.
I kind of am following that same model. We have many items in the basement taking up space and needs to go. most of it is valuable Oil Paintings to Iron Man Custome Race Bike & Trainer, tools and Golf Clubs. I got a 37 tom Log Splitter. I put the wheels on all the hoses and several hundred $$$ of oil and just started it up the put it in the garage. Was supposed to get about 10 cord of wood log delivered and the person snubbed me. Splitter is well over $2K.
Regarding Firearms and components and reloading equipment always like to have two or three in case one breaks but the never do, I always bought three of everything because one for Jill, one for her father, and one for me. Now I have extras of some thing that were either never or slightly used. I think in the next week I might start sell some powder scales, scopes, stocks on LRH just to clear some space and have someone else get use of it.
I sold a lot of our Gunsmithing Business Machines and tools and then went and bought all new state of the art machinery/equipment.
I really need to get rid of all the non shooting items on probably Criags List to sell local.
If I can get the shooting/reloading items for money and the Non shooting on Craigs List we could make the money to help pay for the new Cerakote Oven we just ordered and the new Laser engraver.. Then still have to finish the floors with epoxy paint and finish the wiring. Be ready to finally finish our six builds and then start on another 1/2 dozen for friend.
May be seeing a RCBS 1500 Scale, Dandy Trickler a few Vortex Razor Gen II like new, Ruger Target Lam Stock, Rem 7t too attached00 Mountain Rifle Stock, Cooper Model 52 in .260 Rem with new barrel and shoot same hole. going on the block.
Have other like new rifles and pistols but too attached. Will be making new ones to order anyway.
Oh and a KNIFE Collection to boot.
Rail Road Collection from when my dad worked on the RR. Telegraph Sets, Carbide Lanterns.
Also Have a Two Track Train with Cars, switches, tracks, Whistles for a train under the Christmas Tree, 66+ Years old and still runs and the engine smokes!
