Changing barrels

I have an extra bolt that is perfect for a job I am starting.if I send this to a reputable gun smith what should be an accurate price. I have no accses to the Lathes or to micro tools now that I once had,, the company sold out and everything went.I wonted the surface grinders and at least one Bridgeport mill.

might wanna give us more info on what you plan to do. Sounds like you have the bolt and want to swap out a barrel, but the cost vastly depends on what the make of the rifle is. If it is a Savage you can do it yourself, but if not then it depends on what all you want done.

Do you have the extra barrel also or need to purchase it?

What caliber do you have now and what do you wanna end up with?
