chambering issues

have you tried to chamber an empty fired case? Does it chamber ok? is the bolt sticky, somewhat heavy to lift when trying to eject the case?

What cases are you reloading from, make and if they are new or fired cases.
an empty fired case chambers fine. seems to eject fine. im loading adg new unsized, unfired cases.

im just trying to figure out whats going on and looking for help. i
No worries..
I don't give advice but if I did it would be to call the guy that chambered it and discuss the reamer specs.
Smith's number one rule is "don't make the phone ring" but his IMHO needs to ring.

That is great news as it generally means you do not have a chamber issue.

By the way great brass for that caiber.

There are some reamers out there when the & PRC hit the market that had short lead and lands, I had one one of those and decided to move forward anyway. When the barrel got here I used a lands reamer and pushed it out .070 so I could load whatever I whated.

You will need to do the same thing. So, if it is the same issue and you have a local GS then they could do the same thing. The throat reamer is a PTG product and is hand operated with a micrometer incorporated. If you preferer sent it back to the original GS and have him re-throat it to match mated your dummy round you will send to him.

This is not an uncommon when you did not get the reamer drawing to review.

unfortunately my gun smith is across the dang country. lol. which is why i havent just brought the problem to him. believe me if i were able to just walk into his shop with rifle in hand i would have long ago. theres not many gunsmith around me and the few that are ive heard horror stories about. even tho ive seen to wake up into one somehow haha. i guess ima gave to get this reamed and send it back to him. i really dont know what i want to shoot out of it yet. i aint sure what to tell him to do yet. i guess just let em know i want to be able to load book length and utilize my mag length somewhat.

Measure the brass the smith sent you at neck and .01-.02 above base and compare it to your fl sized brass. Possibly not a shoulder issue? I wouldn't worry about bullets until this is verified.

UPDATE yesterday evening i got home, sorted through some of these comments. figured let me try this **** again. jammed the case into the chamber as far as it would go with oal guage pushed the bullet into the lands as hard as i could, several times. getting ogive measurments around 2.427, 2.434 etc. loaded a eldx at book length 3.320 and thought to myself ima jam this mfer in there so hard it gonna chamber. and if **** gets fkd up ima let the smith deal with it. round chambered flawlessly. smooth as butter. Didnt even fight me. Didnt use force. And immediately i thought that wasnt supposed to happen. went look back into my notes to be certain i did indeed try to chamber the eldx and ablr at book length when the projectiles came in as all of this has turned into some weird blur over a period of i dunno, 2 weeks maybe. i certainly have. right there in black and white. So then I loaded an ablr at 3.320- again chambered flawlessly. put the oal guage back in the chamber and getting 2.6 numbers now instead of 2.4 numbers. took a fired case, put loctite in the neck, chambered it. 3.342 coal 2.641 cbto said aint no way. loaded 3 bullets 3.320 put em in the mag as i havent used the mag yet to this point, cycled flawlessly. took one colored the bullet with a sharpie, put it in a fired case and left long- just marks at the ogive. i dont know where the problem was, or what the problem was. all i know is the problem seems to be gone. and i aint complaining. I ordered a borescope so that i can see if maybe theres a piece of bur or something that is no longer touching anything. maybe it broke from all the banging the buttstock on the ground to get the bullet out of the lands all these times. i dont know. i didnt put clr down the barrel yet as the smith suggested so doubt it was a carbon ring issue.

Sounds like you are good to go, I found it strange factory ammo would not load at one point and the picture of what you stated was your bullet in the case touching lands and the factory ammo length did not make any sense.

Where do you live
Maybe some one on this forum can help to find a GS close to you. This is a simple fix for any GS

Happy for you.
In the future you might want to get a 1/4" dowel at 3' and slip that down the barrel to help push out the bullet when checking for the lands. It is a lot better than bumping it on the floor.
As I mentioned I have down a lot of load development on the 7PRC both for myself and two others. Be aware that when testing for max load it comes up quickly and with little warning. All 3 I did were the same so just be aware it might happen.

Good luck and enjoy it.

Finding a touch point has never been easier than ordering this simple little tool from PMA.
No more bolt stripping, no more barrel off or L&L tool fiddling to get the same number.
This works perfect each time in just seconds.
to use that tool you have to remove the barrel, a lot of trouble

No you do not.
Just remove the bolt and slide your long seated round into the chamber the same way you would use a L&L tool but this has a ring to hold your cartridge, you simply seat a bullet a few thousand less each time until the round just rotates freely without a tiny bit of resistance, the last number was the actual touch point and believe me you feel that exact spot.
It's the easiest and most accurate touch tool I've come across and there's no bolt stripping or barrel removal required.
A clean chamber yields the best results.
