With the mention of case stretching, less firings and/or extraction problems, what is less ideal? BA's having less of an issue with extractions than AR's without poor designs in what causes BA extractions, is it more about the groove? Rebated rims in AR's are less ideal, but some manage to have less problems? Is it case taper, shoulder angle or something else? With 22N and 284win (or other similar cartridges) rebated rims in AR's are they less popular because of not extracting or a grander scale? Someone had mentioned they have a 223wssm in an AR15, so there's possibilities for unconventional cartridges for many other AR platforms. So, what out of the norm cartridges do you have in an AR that function very well or some you wish you didn't have? Also, what about better and no so well designed cases for any type of rifle (semi, pump or ba)?

Fat rounds with steep shoulders like wssm do not feed well and usually require proprietary receivers. See 30OSSM etc.
The 458 socom, 6.8spc, 30hrt all function very well. The 7.62x39 and and other rounds based off of it work pretty good *with the newer designed mags and 9310 bolts.
As far as rebated rim, the 458 has a rebated rim but I have never had or heard of an issue with that. Mostly it's designed to fit in an ar bolt or to fit a 556 bolt in the case of 22Nosler.
The 22Nosler is less popular because it is geared towards the lighter bullets. It also didn't have the greatest marketing scheme that hornady and aac rounds do. The 224 Valkyrie was a screw up from the beginning by being rushed to market. Wrong twist rates etc.

Marketing is king when introducing a new round. Doesn't matter ifs it's 24" barrel vs 16" barrel data (see 6.5G vs 6.8 spc) it's all about the bold numbers and not the fine print.
