Can a 700 barrel be re-finished to fit a 110?

I've got a new barrel on order for my 700 (7RUM). The idea of having the outside of the chamber end of the factory take-off barrel re-finished to fit my 110 action, which currently has the factory 7RM barrel on it, just occured to me. I know that a nut would have to be added for use on the 110, but is there enough "meat" left on the 700 TO barrel to simply re-thread it to fit the 110 [non-target] action, without having to shorten it?

You would have to cut off all the threads and go from there... Not sure what to tell you other than that, as I'm not a Savage fan.

Godd enough. But wouldn't you know it, I think I have already ditched the idea, in favor of putting a big-chambered .22 cal barrel on the 110LA. Is tthere any .22CF cartridge that runs .532 base size in long action, or wouldn't the LA matter?

Alright, I'll look into it. It's on the back burner right now though, until my other (7RUM) build is complete. If it wasn't for fundage considerations, I'd have no problem having both irons in the fire at the same time.
