Can 7 PRC use the same action as 300 PRC?

Sorry if this is a dumb question...but I'm considering building a 300 PRC with a zermatt origin action and was curious if I could just swap out a barrel to 7 PRC in the future or if I'd need a whole new action as well.

From what I gather both use magnum actions, I see reports you can use the same action for 300WM as 7PRC but does this also apply to 300 PRC?

Yes they would both use the same bolt face and need a long action.

I just built a TL3 7PRC which was going to be a 300PRC up until the last minute. They are interchangeable. Just keep in mind that your bottom metal/magazine options will potentially be different. 300PRC will require a CIP length where the 7PRC is standard LA.

Appreciate the info, I'll be dropping it in a chassis likely so bottom metal shouldn't be an issue but mags def will be

Awesome. Just make sure your LA chassis is CIP compatible. A lot of manufacturers now offer spacers so you can just add or remove them to set the magazine well length.

I went with a KRG bravo for that reason, plus the price is right.
