223 dont know why i have it never shoot it but if I ever do it is there

22-250 for squirles and chucks,

243 deer, chuck, ground squirle, yotes

25-06 deer, chuck, ground squirles and yotes

257weatherby never use

6.5x284 deer, bears, chucks, occasional coyote

7mmstw- deer, coyotes, bears, elk, chucks, ground squirles

7.62x39 I havent even seen this gun in the last few years it is buried so far back in the safe

300win deer, bears, elk, squirles

what other cool calibers would you get and why?

We got odd end pistols but dont shoot them much. mostly interested in rifles.

I think you pretty much got er covered there screech, ha ha. Start using the 25-06 on them dogs, it knocks em over dead real quick, no more runners /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Yeah, the first thing we ever killed with the 416 was a ground squirle. It took like 3 more years to draw blood again on a moose then two years ago it killed a little white tail buck. I will have to take it out some more to get a few more critters underneath its belt.

I might try it out some day. I dont have a scope on it right now so I will have to invest and try it out someday. what bullets do you like on yotes

I'll add a couple for you:

204 Ruger - if you like pure speed and explosive performance this is a great gun

470 Nitro Express - you can't beat sure POWER, also fun at public ranges. Rifles on the left, pistols on the right, going from left to right with the 470 last it sounds like...

crack, crack, crack, pop, pop, pop, whoooom!!!, people start to look then.

For rippin yotes apart, the 85g NBT at 3600fps works like a charm. Out to 500 yards or so, they'll really do some damage...I dont use them in my new 25-06 though cause there to fast to be putting through this barrel..I shot a lot of them out of my old 25-06 though with nothing but great, devastating results. Shot a few with the 75g vmax, but they have a major lack of penetration problem. They leave surface wounds and never exited any yote I shot with them. All of them did however hit the dirt real quick!! I'll take the 85g NBT at 3600fps for coyotes though for strictly a yote rifle. Its got the speed and little bit of weight to make it all the way through and leave some nasty holes if thats what your looking for /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

See what I get for taking the little guns out (.222) NOTHING. I went out yesterday and called in 4. They must have already had me pinned down because they came to 628 yards and sat down on a knob and just stared me down. 628 yards with a little .222 just dont cut it. I was cussin myself wishing I brought my 25-06 /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif I took my 6.5-20x50 LR scope off my 7 RM and put on my .222 so I can dial up out to 500-600, but I haven't got a chance to stretch her past 400 and I didn't wanna chance anything. Better to let them go, then to educate them even more...If I had my 25-06, or my 7mm with my 6.5-20 on it, You can bet I woulda been flinging some lead over there. It was a beautiful shot oppurtunity, go fiure...

The problem with the .577 TRex video is all the shooters had horrible form! They were shooting that rifle to make it look nasty like that. The last guy shot it from the bench and controlled the recoil nicely. Other than that, I hope it hurt!
