I would occasionally get components from Cabelas if my local guy didn't have something and I didn't want to wait. Looks like Cabelas/Bass pro is trying to price themselves out of the market just like gander mountain did.

Primers are also 60.00 per 1k.

I could pay hazmat and still get it cheaper even buying single pounds online...

Sure did. I went in our local Cabela's the other day, and I'm not sure how often I'll be back in there. I'm waiting for them to start carrying golf clubs and treadmills...

I loved Cabelas, with gift cards and couponing I made some incredible deals on guns, safes, scopes. Bass pro bought it purely to nuke it IMO and man they are getting it done. Ill still find a random decent deal but nothing like in the past.

I also have already been lied to and screwed by the Capitol one club transition. I sent a strongly worded letter (sure that did a lot of good ) explaining they had lost my credit business and why it seems from speaking with other this is not one off. I personally know of aroung 100k a year in credit usage that has ended since the purchase.

It was a dark day when Bass Pro took Cabelas over. I rarely even look to shop there anymore.

After the buyout I noticed prices go up to match bass pro. Now the only time I shop cabelas is when I have gift cards or decide to burn my points. Though I feel like I'll be getting rid of my cabelas credit card fairly soon.

Same here. I am in the market for a new card tho now, any good ideas? I liked being "forced" to use points to buy a scope or gun or something. Now I have been getting a boring 1.5% cash back....

US bank cash plus has a 150$ sign up bonus and gets 5% cash back at sporting good stores. Like Academy, Dunhams, (Cabelas (not online)) I even got 5% back at Red Hawk Rifles

Stupid Bass pro is screwing Cabela's seriously. I very much dislike BP I used to love Cabela's now not as nice as it used to be.
