Browning BAR scope mount

I have just bought a Browning BAR Shortrac with alloy receiver. What in/lbs should I torque the scope base down at?

15 in-lbs is safe for#6 screws in aluminum

I have a 30-06 Safari with a 20 MOA rail that I have shot out to 400 yds. Please let us know how yours shoots at long range if you plan on shooting that far.

Joseph, I'll be away deer shooting in 4 weeks time where shots from 100 up to and over 400 yards are common so will report back on results.
