I would recommend a good past wax.

Sometimes the release agent slips and bedding sticks to the action.

I have used the Brownells release agent with the Brownells Acra Glas epoxy, a number of times, and don't see why it will not work with the Devcon. I have also heard of people using the paste wax, and and old Marine shooters told me that the armorers use to use Vaseline for a release agent, on all the match rifles that they built. What I am saying is that a number of things will work.

Wait a few weeks and I will tell you if it works with Devcon, as I have a bedding job on a Savage planned.

Yea, Please let me know. I got scarred and just purchased paste wax. This was my first attempt at bedding a rail. Ive done a few stock to action beds with Acraglass (hense the reason I had the Acraglass release agent.) First time working with Devcon. It came out beautifully.

Thanks again,
Speedy.
