Brass as a bore quide?

I have a Ruger #1 and was thinking of cutting the head off a spent round to use as a bore guide. Would this be of any benefit or should I keep looking for a guide that will work on a ruger?

I have a TC bore guide. It's made out of hard ....nylon? Works great on my Encore. I got mine from the Woodchuck Den for $9.75. 330-897-0614. I don't know all the sizes they make or if it would work with the Ruger #1. You can call Todd, he'll know. Mike

I didn't see any thing that would work but I think if I put an empty on the drill press and drilled it out to slightly larger than .257, extraction would be much easier than cutting it off. Thanks for the suggestion and if anyone has any other information and or thoughts please feel free to comment.
