a number of years ago i purchased a very nice R93 blaser in 416 rem mag. i then bought a 300 RUM barrel for the blaser. i never really like the 416 rem mag, and looked into doing a rechamber to 416 RUM OR ULTRACAT. All i heard was hardened chamber, cant be done,blah. blah, blah. talked to my friends at benchmark barrels and they felt a rechamber could be done with a carbide reamer. ordered it up from PTG, BENCHMARK machinest Jerry did the rechamber, helped me neck up some brass. which i loaded, shot and sent to Whidden gunworks with reamer print for custom dies. i wont go into all the advantages of the 416 rum over the 416 rem as there are good discussions about it on LRH already. i just wanted all to know that rechamners can be done on blasers if you arent happy with factory offering, and have a good smith
