Shot a bull yesterday - first animal I have shot with my 30N (recently rebarreled from 28N)…only an 80 yard shot as we stumbled on these bulls by hearing them bugle and had to stalk up to a knoll overlooking them.
But, regardless of distance, I was thrilled with the performance. Shot was through the shoulder and we found the base of the cup basically in the offside hide - bull was pretty much broadside. Bull stumbled 20 yards on 3 legs and got drunk and passed out a few seconds later.
I haven't seen much on the performance of these so wanted to share my results. Just over 3000 MV, and was moving at 2870 at 100 yards with energy of 3750. Took a rib with it into the chest cavity.
Zero complaints on the performance on this shot. Will weigh what is left of the bullet when I get home but my guess is it isn't over maybe a few dozen grains.
