I've always been a big fan of long range rifles and the joy they bring when making hits out at good distances. I enjoy shooting my AR30 in 338 Lapua and I carry it when I'm out in the hill country. I don't mind the 14 pound weight so much as much as the bulk and style of the stock. Although its very functional with a GG&G bi-pod it's just not as sleek and traditional as I would like. I'm now looking at picking up a second Lapua and this time maybe a Savage 111 but I'm not interested in a tactical model this time, I'm looking for a more traditional walnut stock with a more sleek profile. Does anyone know of a decent stock making company for a Savage 111 application?

I looked on Joel's website and he does amazing work for sure. I shot him an email with general specs and an inquiry on pricing. Hopefully I can make something work that I can afford. Thanks for the insight.

I have some experience with Russo from Nitroexpress (different gun nut site). Excellent work. Boyds are reasonably priced but they're not of the same caliber.
