Bartlein barrel contour for 300 PRC?

I've seen quite a bit on barrel length and twist, but nothing on a recommended Bartlein contour for the 300 PRC. Anyone had a Bartlein built for theirs?

Depends on what your game is but a Sendero is heavy enough for good long range work or even a 3b in a Bartlein is a good compromise for carry or distance.

Was thinking that too but had a friend do a 6.5 PRC with Bartlein and he said they told him no less than a #4.

Again, it depends on the purpose. For a carry rifle, a 3b would be plenty.

going with a hawk hill on 300 PRC and a 3B light sporter. End of barrel is .700 ths which is on the Sendero line thickness.
Went with 26 inch. My bucket list gun, it should be a shooter. have you decided on the bullets you going or if you are going to get a reamer made?

Senderos crown at .830" normally.

First 210 VLDH, 212 ELDx, 210 LRAB. Maybe then try 225 ELDx but haven't been excited with the word around Hornady terminal performance--but dead is dead.

Using SAAMI minimum reamer.

10/4. Thought it was basically a crown of a Remington 300 win Chester which was .670. Guess it's just a little bigger

10/4. I'm tore between the 210 LRAB or the 215 Berger. More than likely going with the Berger.

OP, I'm a big fan of a fluted #5 contour for 30cal stuff. Finishes at .700ish depending on smith and length.

I would do a Bartlein 3b or 4 with a 1.25"x5" shank. I like more meat around the chamber and it helps balance the rifle better IMO.

yep and remember a Bartlein is usually 1 size bigger than others, i.e. a Bartlein 4 = a Brux or Rock 5

actually a Bart 3b is a #5 in most others.
Their 2b is a 3 and their 3 is a 4

If worried about weight but want a contour go with a carbon six or a proof.
