Barrel treatment

Do I get a stainless steel or cm barrel if I'm going to have it treated with the black melonite. Who does a good job with melonite treating? Recommendations welcomed.

Either material can be melonite/black nitride treated. I use H&M, in Acron, OH.

H&M is good to go, my review of work..
a SS barrel will be harder, but a CM barrel will be "more" rust resistant after nitriding...
