Back up reflex sight

I'm looking for a back up reflex sight to mount on my m4..it has a standard a3 upper with an acog. I'm looking for a small reflex sight to mouth on a 45* angle just in front of the acog. I'm open to suggestions.i don't want to spend more then 300. Has anyone used the Burris fastfire 1st 2nd or 3rd gen.

I have the second on a .44 carbine. It works. I went cheap to see if I was going to like it and regret it. The 3's a better device. My understanding is it's easier to adjust, dot size is better, and replacing the battery doesn't require taking it off the gun. If I get another I would spend the money to get a sight with etched glass, or something if the battery dies you aren't done for the day.

Thanks. I'll look into the 3. It's going to be used strictly as auxiliary sight for close range work. It will be mounted on a 45* pic rail. My only concern is that it will be close to the ejection port. I'd rather not mount it ontop of the acog. I've never used a reflex sight before. Does it mater how far down the forend I put it. I don't have a continuos top rail. There's a bit of a gap between the hand gaurd and the upper receiver. It looks like there will be enough room to mount it just in front of the acog. I just don't know if it will how much clearance there will be.

Pretty flexible eye relief. Mines as far forward in the mount as it can go. It's a rail mount that ends about where the front base would be if you were using a two piece base set.

I got it trying to make sight picture easier for a cross dominant eye kid.

I can't speak to your clearance issues, but I'd be surprised if eye relief was an issue. I don't have it handy, but will check eye relief later if it helps you.
