Auction - SW CO Outfitted Elk Hunt Oct. 2014 - No Reserve - LRH Members Only!

Bulls have to be 4 points or better. That is a statewide rule in Colorado for over the counter units. Your tag allows you to shoot a bull that is 4 points or better or a cow since the tag is either sex. The elk herd in unit 70 is very strong and the antler restrictions just allow bulls to be older before they can be harvested.
Thanks.

Good luck everyone!

The auction ends tomorrow (Monday) morning at 8:00am CST. I will announce the winner immediately after the auction closes. Thank you to all that have expressed interest. This has been a lot of fun.

Being from the North East, Elk hunting is a once in a lifetime opportunity. It has been on my "bucket list" for a long time. The problem with these type of hunts, by the time you can afford it, you're over 50 years old, out of shape, etc, etc.

I've been looking around for a while, but didn't like the idea of packing in on a horse, or camping out for a week. And then packing out, hopefully with meat. It just didn't sound realistic sitting in front of a computer all day long, and then spending a week in the wilderness. This hunt sounds perfect that "you're into Elk when you set foot on the ranch"

Obviously being from 2500 miles away, & not experienced, I need a fully guided hunt. Someone that will field dress, and get the meat out of the woods, and over to a processor, etc, etc.

I also like the fact that Dan is starting a new business, trying to promote it, build a reputation. I see his name on another web site, trying to promote, and I appreciate that.

I will certainly let you all know how it works out !

Checked cameras this weekend. Ran into a bachelor group of really nice bulls. Also saw a great buck and 3 other nice bucks as well. Lots of fawns and calves, the ranch is looking great! Enjoy the photos.
