Are we now in yet another ammo-hoarding era?

They are limiting ammo to two boxes per person here in most stores. What I have noticed is all of the 5.56, 9mm, .40, and 12 gauge ammo is all out almost everywhere. Other more expensive ammo seems to be unaffected such as .338 Lapua, Weatherby stuff and .50 BMG.

I wonder what this is going to do to the Retumbo shortage?

You guys notice the delays in shipping from Grafs and Natchez? I ordered some H50BMG from Natchez more than a week ago and have not heard anything about it being shipped.

As the pandemic worsens in numbers affected and duration people fear those with no money, food, shelter, etc. will be driven to home invasions and carjackings. I now carry every time I leave my house.

Today my wife and I cruised The Strip. It was literally totally deserted except for police SUVs every block or two parked on casino entrances. NOT a good sign for the future of our "bedroom" neighborhoods - or any 'hood.

I am told that in the town I live in multiple people had their cars broken into and the groceries that they had purchase stolen.

Good idea carrying when you leave the house. If things continue to go on as they are it is going to get lively out there real quick.

This morning I rolled up to my local gun range at 4:45 this morning to reserve the only legal and "accessible" 300 yd range. In my headlights I see the ground glittering with gold, well to me it's gold but from experience I know it's most likely 5.56 cases. So I put my table out, with my gun vise and started picking up brass as fast as I could taking breaks to catch my breath. All in all close to 900 pcs of 5.56, 200 pcs of 308 and a handful of other odd balls. Why would anyone leave the brass behind? I was more than happy to pick up their trash.

went to cabelas over the weekend to see if i could find some subsonic 308 rounds. (they were out).

they had a wall of .22 and .17 but no pistol ammo, no 5.56, no 762x39 and none of the cheap .308. they did have most all other calibers though. alot of match .308, .260, .300 win mag, 30-06 etc. lots of guns on the wall too. i learned my lesson after sandy hook. during a crisis is not when you want to be buying ammo. i'm well stocked in each caliber i own except for 6.5 grendel, but that was hard to find before all this started.

keep calm and conceal carry everyone. this will pass soon enough.
