Since, and before, the days of the Remington Accelerator, a few shooters have played around with varied sabot designs and loads in rifles and handguns, so I was wondering if anyone, besides myself, still loads/experiments with any of these? If so, lets show and discuss.

Over the decades, I have loaded varied 63-70gr .224 game bullets in 30-06, 308, 30-30 and AI with good success on deer sized game, used a 45-70 loaded with a hi-pressure, muzzle-loader 45/35 sabot and 140/158/180g bullets for increased velocity and extended range of the old 45/70, used the same sabot configuration in a 45LC Contender, 1894 Marlin and Ruger Blackhawk with 125-158's at great velocities, and a few other custom turned nylon rod and even cotton-paper wrapped sabots for the 44Sp/Mag using 125/140gr 357 bullets.
