Anybody using ATVs for hunting?

Here's my ATV. I use it for scouting, hunting, hauling deer (and trash) and I pull my zero turn trailer with it. AC doesn't work that good but heater kicks, which is a good thing.
I sanded it down and did the "rattle-can" paint job in the back yard. I like it. :)

On public land in most of western mountain states I've hunted you can only operate atvs where you can drive your truck. With their low pressure tires and soft suspension they can ride better on rough roads than a pickup but they are noisy, dusty, cold ... The seats are not nearly as comfortable as most truck seats. Plus you can buy a pretty nice used hunting truck or SUV for the price of these ATVs. Idaho did a study a few years ago and found that radio collared elk and other game avoid areas used by ATVs. Boot leather is the best way to get close to critters!

Is anybody using ATVs for scouting? Would love to know what your experience has been so far (pros and cons)?
up here just about everyone use ATVs or plane Raft, track rigs ect.

I've had an ATV from 2000. Got a second one 2 years back. EFI engines only. Most are made that way now. I prefer 700cc or so. I changed my tires and rims to UTV for better clearances. You can travel roads a lot faster, than by pickup, and go to more areas. The main thing you have to get off and walk. The second thing is wished I have gotten an UTV with 1000CC or more, than a ATV this last time. Yes more money. I would get it with windows, enclosed, doors and heater. ATV's you have to have gear to ride in all types of weather. You are limited to where you can use them.
