My factory m70 300 weatherby mag has been collecting dust for a while so I decided to see if she's worth keeping as is or rebuilding. 80.5 grains of h1000 behind the 210 grain Berger vld at 100 yards. Lower left is the fouling round then the top two holes are actually 3 shots. Backed up to 200 and shot an identical group 3/4" below the first. Now to do a ladder test and mess with seating depth to fine tune the load and I'm sure she'll shoot sub 3/4 MOA all day!!

Nice! I have a sako av chambered in 300wby, shoots 3/4 Moa. I run 82gr h1000 behind 212eldx for 2840fps. Also just made up a load with 86gr h1000 behind 200gr eldx at 2990fps. I smashed a moose with it this year...that 212 worked great

Interesting, I got similar results. I shoot 82,5gr of H1000 behinf 215bgr and it is good fo 2841fps and .6 moa. Rifle is Accumark.

I'm not sure on speed but I'll use a chrony during the ladder test. Trying to decide if I want to stick with the 210 or jumpnup to the 215.

The 215s were much easier to tune in my rifle, but the 210's are a great bullet if you spend the time to find their happy place.

It's surprising how often 'nodes' for a particular cartridge and bullet weight are close to each other. I tried 82.2gr of h1000 and velocity started to jump around a lot. My load has an sd of 12.

Ran the ballistics comparing the 200gr eldx and the 212eldx in my rifle, the 200 with faster velocity holds the advantage until 600yds plus it has the tighter sd, I'm gonna go with that down the road
