Very good to know! Here in Arkansas we only have Black Bears, but they do come right up into my back yard,

If you put that skull under magnification it probably says "use .375 or greater" on it somewhere

Look out for the claws too, they are as bad or worse than the bite

I agree, be aware that the claws are just as dangerous as the bite, and potentially even more so - they pack a formidable punch too.

Hats off to anyone who could maintain their composure in the event of a charge, I think what I learned from this is wait till the very last moment for one possibly well placed shot and that's only if you are already drawn. Good luck, hope it doesn't happen to anyone here
