Alps mountaineering packs

Has anyone used these for hunting? It's an external frame pack, just wondering how it might hold up for hauling out meat.

Its a nice pack. Have loaded up to 60# multiple times. Lot of room in the pack. Don't know about heavier loads. Well built. Not quite as comfortable as a internal frame pack.

Thanks, was thinking about elk hunting next year. These are a lot lower price than other packs so I was just considering it

I think its a good pack. I used it two years ago in Idaho. Its pretty comfortable until you really load it up. At that point, i dont think any pack is really comfortable. It has a ton of room in the pouch etc. The main reason i bought it as well is the price point/value. For an external frame pack at this price point, no one really comes close to offering as many features. Good luck.
