advice on public land elk hunt.

Hell to all. myself and my neighbor/friend are planning a public land elk hunt. we are planning on going next fall but we are looking for advice on how to do this. we are looking at Montana and Idaho. we are going to do a bow hunt. we are needing help on which place to go and thoughts on areas that we won't run into many hunters. i am going to call the wild game offices in both states tomorrow and talk to them and see about getting a map of the public lands available. we are asking for advice. i thank y'all for any help.

open hunt unit 36 and unit 27 in Idaho. Unit 27 season is during the rut. BRING DAM GOOD BOOTS AND BE IN SHAPE. Draw hunt is unit 49. For a guide contact Robert Hennifer in Carey Idaho.
