Some of you will remember my son Phil from various hunting stories I have posted.

Three years and two months ago, he began a journey in the Army as an 18X. He made it through infantry school, airborne school, selection and assessment, language school and finally medic school. Along the way 20 of the 25 guys who started on the road with him in infantry school stumbled and fell to the wayside. Only five of original guys made it to the final destination and received their Green Beret last Thursday. It was the 50th anniversary of the authorization of the Green Beret as the official head gear of Special Forces so H Ross Perot handed each graduate his beret.

Now that's something not taken lightly! CONGRATS!!! That's Awesome. What a huge accomplishment! Very few can join that brotherhood. I'm sure your one PROUD dad BB. I know that he had one Hell of a mentor, & a lot to live up to. Your no slouch yourself. I'm glad you two share an honor like that as father & son. I can't even imagine what that means to you both.
Thank you both for your service, & tell your son good job!

Nice to see you post again by the way. It's been a while.

Although i am not a bible fan, there is one passage that comes to mind reading this :

" for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap."

You sowed the seeds that grew to be this man. You nurtured the sprouts of honor, discipline, dedication and tended the garden that was his education. They grew into what he became.

A life could be said to have been full without this accomplishment. I'm glad you have shared what must be your proudest moment. Thanks, AJ

Congratulations to both of you, and thanks for sharing it with us, I got a sense of pride and accomplish for myself just hanging on to your coattails. Thanks

Jim, I thank you and Phil for your service to this Country. God bless you both and look over your son.

That is AWSOME, Congratts to both of you. I can't imagine the hard work he had to go thru. That is true Dedication.
