If this is a hunting rifle, I would say that being able to hit a paper plate at a thousand yards is phenomenal. I would be thrilled to death if my hunting rifles would all hit a paper plate at a thousand yards. All things being equal, this means that you are hitting a softball sized target at 500 yards. What more does anyone really expect out of a hunting rifle? Your pulse can push a bullet more than that distance at a thousand yards.
