8-40 Scope Base

First post, been lurking awhile.

Just got new rifle McWhorter Custom 300 RUM on Rem 700 action, McMillan BDL stock. It came with 8-40 holes for the bases. I use a tight cheek weld, so my goal is to get the scope mounted as low as I can (probably LUP VXL 4.5-14x50 with CDS). Would like to stick to picatinny style base, don't need 20 MOA cant, etc. My questions is : What bases come ready for 8-40 screws without mods, and without the extra height that comes with cant. I am aware of the Leupold 2pc, what others are available?

Alternately, who could modify bases to take 8-40 screws, quick and reasonable ? Maybe some of the 'smiths on this site have some in stock?

2nd on Murphey and the 10 MOA is a great option, not too much to angle! Great work will try the titanium model on my next build.
