Hey all,

I'm trying to work up a load with my 7 rem mag and Viht N560 using 150 grain Barnes TTSX and 160 grain Nosler Accubonds. I'm trying to figure out the best way to reference N165 or N160 load data to identify a starting point for the N560.

For the Barnes 150 gr TTSX: There is no VV data out there that I've been able to find for the 150 gr Barnes TTSX. Does anyone have experience with this bullet/powder combo out of a 7 rem mag? I had been running 62.2 grains of N165 using the 150gr Barnes TTSX bullets at around 2915 fps. During my ladder test last year I ran up to 63.7 grains at 2980 fps without pressure signs. Nosler posts a 66 grain max charge for their 150 grain bullets and N165.

Nosler has N160 and N165 data for their 150 grain bullets, including their monolithic E-tips, and I'm wondering if I could start a 2-3 grains below their posted max with the N560? From the VV load data, it looks like the N560 and N165 have pretty similar max powder charges for the same bullet type (about 0.4-0.6 grains more N560 than N165). The difference between N160 and N560 is much larger, around 4-6 grains more N560 at max compared to N160, so I'm not sure how good of a reference point N160 would be.

For the Nosler 160 gr Accubonds: Nosler has the N165 load data for their 160 grain Accubonds (61 gr max). Safe to start a grain or two below this max?

Thanks in advance!
