7mm wsm twist rate

I have a 7 wsm savage with factory 1-10. Seems to be shooting pretty good but haven't gone to anything above 162. Think this twist will hold up to longer heavier bullets?

That depends on how fast you can push it and what altitude you're at or your hunting grounds. For instance, I have .300 WSM with 1:10" twist and the Berger 215 calls for a 1:9" twist. I am pushing it at 2750 FPS out of 24" barrel"

@ 0' altitude, SG is marginal at 1.47 (1.5 or higher is ideal).
@ 3333' altitude (my home/range) SG is comfortable at 1.67.
@ 7500' altitude (elk hunting grounds) SG is comfortable 1.95.

Good luck!
